Venice: City of Dreams (VIDEO)
Rick Steves’ Europe Travel Guide | After sorting through the monuments of Venice’s powerful past, we’ll trace its decline from Europe’s most powerful city to its most hedonistic one. We’ll cruise the Grand Canal, luxuriate in a venerable café, and savor fresh fish canal-side with Venetian friends. Becoming as anonymous as possible in this city of masks, we’ll be dazzled by masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance and get intimate with the city of Casanova…on a gondola in the moonlight.

Why this american obsession about Italy? Why this will to judge our lifestyle? I dont understand this american people . I dont understand Mr Steves ! I m not i interested about Idaho or Montana , but You are interested to Abruzzo or Puglia . Our culture is the opposite of american way of life : so why this obsession?

Giovanni is not pronounced Gee oh vanni but rather Jo vanni. As a gi followed by a vowel is a J. That's why there is no j in Italian.
Rick Steve – "Style, I call it early ransack" that's hella funny.
17:14 I would say “The city of dreams and for people in love !”
I went on a tour a while ago and we went to venice for 2 days and it was amazing. The city is beautiful, especially at night during sunset. It's a must for those that go to Italy.

I'm watching this as I'm preparing to go to Venice next month! I love Rick Steves and growing up with his travel videos. Definitely an influence on my love for travel <3
If anyone knows which year it was filmed?
Mr Steve I believe will gratitude you for sometimes in my very special way as it looks you probably also imagined yourself a kind of powerfull man here as well not being George himself as especially Constantin
I like small towns. Big cities drive me nuts. I don't know how I survived Los Angeles! I love the culture of Venice, though, I must admit. I might practice some tai chi there one day.
Venice Is beautiful , buts it's sinking .. slowly & slowly .
