Great Video…you should know that this city was the capital city of southern Italy for a 1000 years ..it was the capital of Europe just as Paris and London …there is so much history …you should of visited the palace in Caserta ..it's amazing it's comparable to the one in Versailles
โ NAPLES PICKPOCKET ALERT !!! Unfortunately, local pickpockets in Naples are a "major problem", particularly on the crowded trams and buses, and in and around the main railway station.
Bus Line R2 is notorious – there are 2-3 pickpockets on every bus. Line R4 is not much better. They even work with ticket agents who signal to them that you are carrying lots of cash. Be very careful!!!
Always hang onto your bags. Do not let overly friendly hustlers put your bags on their trolley. They will run off with all your bags once loaded onto their trolleys. Unfortunately Naples is just riddled with overly aggressive street criminals. Best to wear a messenger bag across the front of your chest.
Some of these brazen thieves even go after hidden money belts by first distracting then ganging up on poor unsuspecting tourists. It only takes seconds for them to ruin your dream vacation. Be very careful !!! Ciao bella!
Thank you Jesus for this savoy treat. Hahah.
7:55 – In Naples, the birthplace of pizza, and you get pizza with corn and cream on it?! Ugh. Smh.
You need a better haircut
More of a travel log
Interesting…..too bad about bad language near the end.
I am from Naples… you missed Piazza del Plebiscito, Capodimonte, Parco Virgiliano, Marechiaro, quartiere Vomero and much more. It is not easy to just walk around and see things like for other cities but it worth it! ๐
Where did you stay in Naples?
We stayed in Sorrento and caught the train into Naples, my Uncle lived there at the time, he advised getting a taxi to his home. The square outside the railway station was full of cars. With probably 2 exits from each corner of the square the Neapolitans didn't bother going round the perimeter of the square they went straight for the exit they required. Understandably creating one big unmoving mass of vehicles in the middle. It was brilliant.
Going to naploli today ๐ Thanks for the vid!
4:43 "you can wander in these streets forever…"
No problem man. You can't lost youself in Naples. If you climb the street you are going on the cliff, and if you descend the street you are going in direction of the sea. Once you keep knowledge where the sea is (more or less with large appoximation), you will find easily your position.
8:45 When you see vegetables in a neapolitan panino it could be only scarole (escarole) or friarielli (a variant of turnip tops that grows only in south Italy)… No spinaches at all…
great video! You showed a few of the best places in naples and it seems like you "feel" naples. That's the only way to see and understand the true napoli.
I was wondering if someone can give me an honest review on Naples. I am thinking of going there in a month or so and I decided that it will be my first and probably main stop in Italy cause I want to try something new. I have been to Rome and I loved it incredibly, but Naples I know nothing about and really want to just go there and give it a go. Tell me all the little secrets and little spots and all the glorious things that one SHOULD see in Naples. Thank you in advance. ๐
Thank you for using a stabilizer!
Did you buy a real leather jacket? Isn't it leatherette?
Just been there for a week, know it like the back of my hand now ! You have to go to the archeological museum and Pompeii, also you walked past loads of awesome seafood restaurants on the way to the castle.Look out for pickpockets and also Naples is very dirty with dog poo all over the streets and plenty of litter but I still preferred it to Rome,itโs more authentic.Took the ferry to a little island called Iskia and went around the
Amalfi coast.first, positano and amalifi,Naples is in a great position also to visit Pompei takes half an hour on the bus.
Was in naples last July it was unreal the weather was great
