Personally I would never coment on someone's weight, or clothes, or hairdo. I still see that as a very rude habit.
My family has been in America for about 3 generations, but my ancestors are Italian and I've been wanting to reconnect with Italian culture out of curiosity and i am very glad that I have come across this video.

I’m Italian American and I just want to say. Just because Americans aren’t as direct doesn’t mean we’re scared to say what’s on our mind we just know how to choose our battles. Like if a person cuts us in line we know it’s not that serious and we choose not to say anything. We don’t get mad about stuff that isn’t serious… we know how to let stuff go. You shouldn’t always get mad at little things and speak up whenever something bothers you. that’s a sign of immaturity. We’re not afraid to be direct we’re just not little crybaby’s. If we don’t like somebody’s outfit we usually tend to keep our mouths shut because why should it matter if we don’t like someone’s outfit? People can wear whatever they want! Why do people feel the need to be so judge mental all the time? You think your opinion matters that much? Learn to shut your mouth and not be so nit picky about everything. You’ll be much happier if you learn to choose your battles and let little things go. We aren’t so direct because we know it isn’t necessary to start drama where it doesn’t need to be. Learn to speak only when words improve the silence. You’ll be much happier that wAy:) I’m not saying Americans are perfect. We have so many flaws but I think we definitely know how to be more positive than other cultures. We know not to be rude when it’s really not necessary.

I’m italian but not anarchic, I hate that kind of people; they don’t do anything all day long and leave hard work to others, and then export the stereotypical image of relaxed and unworthy of the authorities Italian people.

Everybody in the comments wishes they were Italian😂 Truth is Italians are the best in everything. Can’t blame them. In Greece we’re pretty much like that. Also food plays an important role in our culture and we use a lot of gestures(like the moutza). Baci e abbracci!🇮🇹❤️🇬🇷
Yeah I’m fifty percent Italian. Momma’s whole family is pure Italian. Nothing else. Then dad is American.
In spite of my YouTube channel name, I am not Mexican, but American. Specifically, I am ITALIAN-AMERICAN. My grandparents were immigrants from Italy and my family originates from north of Milan. The Italian culture and language were pretty much washed away in my family by the time I was born, so I am learning Italian so I can travel to Italy in 2 months. BIG QUESTION: What do Italians think of Italian-Americans? Will I be welcomed like a long-lost relative or will people hate me because my grandparents abandoned the homeland? Do they even care? I look like one of you, that is for sure, but I am American.
Everything you just said sounds similar to Mexican culture😂😂 and Mexicans are very direct with what the say, even with nicknames for people too lmao common ones are "gordo/a" (fat) and "negro/a" (black)😂 and we just call gossip and drama "chisme"
I feel like Italians and Germans are completely different.
