Friulian "alc", sounds a lot like Spanish "algo". That's how I'll remember it.
I am italian. Some of my dears came from Sicily and they always speak sicilian with each other… and I just can’t understand anything they say 🙁
I speak Friulano when i work, it is just a perfect "job language"

i'm lombard, from the province of varese and i cant really fluently speak my dialect, i can definitely build sentences and i just use them to joke with my friends.
Do these other Italian languages have official orthography
I’m a native Spanish speaker and it seems that when I try Italian people can easily understand me. My pronunciation is very good and I substitute my lack of vocabulary with italianised Spanish words 😂😂😂 so for example I could say che il mio italiano non e buono ma intento parlarlo utilizzando paroli spagnoli. A veci le paroli e le plurali non sone essatti ma uno parlante d italiano posse entendere lo che intento decire.

I don't have time to watch the full video right now. Just want to add, in case it isn't done in the video, that we speak Italian also in Switzerland in the Canton Ticino and in some parts of the Canton Grigioni. And yes, we have typical Swiss Italian accents too. More than that it seems also legit to add that Italian is also one of the most enduring immigrant languages, for example in Australia Italian is one of the major languages.
Upon visiting Italy I greeteded people with comen ca va! I had actually learned French or Arpetano from my Aostan family.
standard is easier to understand for me. I don't know italian, I speak spanish, but written text in italian is possible to understand. the others are too different from spanish.
I do not want to loose me Ceccanese and Prossedano.

yeah i speak Sicilian with family and friends, sometimes with strangers but obviously only in Sicily. I live in Piedmont now and no one is able to understand my dialect (no Piedmonteis native at least). and i can't understnad a word over here, it helps that i live in Turin, a big city, where pretty much everyone speaks Italian 99% of times.
