Italy’s Great Hill Towns (VIDEO)
Rick Steves’ Europe Travel Guide | In Italy, we’ll drive through the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside connecting all the hill-town dots, see a ceiling fresco masterpiece NOT by Michelangelo, eat rustic bruschetta, walk a vineyard that goes all the way back to Etruscan times — and more, all while exploring a string of hill-capping medieval towns that somehow manage to keep their heads above the flood of the 21st century.

Rick can't count.
The string quartet in the fresco at Orvieto Cathedral was a string quintet.

Italy is so authentic !! Americans try to copy Italian style houses . Impossible !!!
How is Italy not a fairytale?
Why it's a restricted video??
Wonder how inspite of wars between hill states, these hill towns survived.
Also wonder if only 13000 people loved in one such bill town , the whole of Italy population wouldn't cross a Million in medieval times.
Am I right ?
I feel sad that people had to live in hill towns leaving country side due to security.
What if they lived in plains near mountains.
Life would be much easier .
Wow Italy you're excellent
Greetings from Bangladesh.
I love Italy! My favorite country in the world!
Indeed, Italy's beautiful. Rome's the most romantic country in the world. Although I also visited Florence and Venice, I loved the countryside: San Gemignano; Monteriggio; Lucca and Chianti. Next is Umbria especially to taste the Parmesan cheese.
Very nice all videos Thunku so much
And more to more video uploaded please Sir….
I can't decide what region of Italy I love most. Cinque Terre, Almafi Coast, Tuscany, Rome or Northern Italy (Venice). It's all so beautiful.
