I live in Catania 4 years, and I can to say, its a wondeful place, no violence, where we can to fun, and the same time see many things historical, with wonderful beachs also and many differents things.
Completely inaccurate on the Palermo / Catania view. Catania is the vibrant and "loud" city, lots of universities make it the city of the young and "hipster" unlike like the slow and regal palermo
