Visit Vicenza – Travel Tips for Vicenza, Italy (VIDEO)
Visiting Vicenza, Italy for fun or to see friends? Here are five tips for getting the most out of your trip to Vicenza.
1. Do a Palladio Pilgrimage. Palladio is one of the most influential architects of the past 500 years and he has a number of buildings throughout Vicenza with the Villa Rotunda and Teatro Olimpico to just start with.
2. Drink a Spritz con Aperol and eat the Cod and Bigoli con Arne (Bigoli noodles with duck sauce).
3. Vicenza can make an affordable base to see the rest of Veneto, like Venice, Padua, Verona and other Venetian towns.
4. The city has had a boom in tourism lately and has done a good job of helping promote tourism and sights in the city with exhibits, tours and more.
5. Buy your bus tickets before you get on the bus and you can save 25%.

Is all of this within walking distance from the base?
Spent many weeks over the years working with the Italian and American Air Forces at Vicenza, Aviano, and up the mountain at Monte Venda. One of my favorite regions in Italy and locations in all of Europa.

Your videos make me sooo happy! I don't have a chance to travel to my favorite country in the world aka Italy quite yet, but watching your videos makes me feel closer to it. And my best friend is Italian as well! Wonderful people.
I found your channel: I like a lot and you're fantastic! Just a note: in Vicenza we really eat the cat. If you want i may send to you the original recipe, which is also very hilarious.

Just wanted to say that your videos really cover lots of details that foreign tourists usually don't know or don't care about, a very well done job indeed!
Personally i find it very nice to hear someone from a very far country such as the U.S.A. talk so passionately and so happily about Italy and especially Veneto, where i come from.
I saw that you visited Padova, my home city, and i was wondering: What did you like about it? Which sites you found most interesting?
Keep up the great work!
Have you ever been to Napoli my favourite Italian city
Hi Mark. I've been a long time fan and today it occurred to me that you could make a fortune leading group tours to your favorite places. Probably not in the cards right now with young kids, but is that something you might do when they're off to college? Can I pre-book for the 2035 trip of your choice right now??
Looking forward to visiting Italy next month, professor 🙂 .
Vicenza will be on my list, will it be enough for one day visit ?
because I'm staying in Venice as a base for visiting different towns around it.
