Venice Italy travel guide | Must see places in Venice, Italy (VIDEO)

There are a few places in the world you must visit at least once in your life and – Venice, Italy is one of these places. A magical city, completely surrounded by water, filled with the history of one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen, sparkling canals, and confusing but authentic tiny calle’s (Venetian roads)….
Venice is perhaps one of the most famous and most beautiful cities in Italy, and every year millions of tourists come to walk the narrow streets on the “city on water”, take boat rides along the canals and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
This little city at the northern end of the Adriatic Sea only has about 80,000 residents, but sees over 25 million tourist visits each year. Venice consists of a series of scattered islands — there are 118 islands within Venice’s 212 square-mile city lines. With 400 foot bridges and 170 boat canals connecting the city, it is easily accessible to get around.
Venice is a glorious cliché, more romantic, more beautiful and more surprising than you could expect. No matter how many photographs or films you may have seen, it is still a jaw-dropping experience seeing Venice’s canals and palaces for the first time. That first cruise down the Grand Canal is one of life’s unforgettable experiences.

Venice beach : The Lido di Venezia–or simply the “Lido,” in local parlance–is a barrier island that separates the Venetian Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. By vaporetto or public water bus, it’s only a few minutes from Venice’s historic center, which makes it popular as a dormitory suburb of Venice and a summer resort for tourists.
