Bologna has been described as a “foodie theme park” thanks to its delicious offerings and reputation as Italy’s culinary capital.

On our endeavours to push our stomachs to the limits and find out just how many pasta dishes one can eat in a weekend, we hopped on a flight over the bank holiday weekend and travelled over to this beautiful city.

Aside from the food, we spent our time enjoying the aesthetic architectural elements, from the stretching archways to the warm painted tones of the buildings. Bologna, you definitely had our hearts.
