This is awful!
I can tell you're Dutch, the Dutch always speak English so well….
Wonderful job… Thanks for sharing. π
The man who designed and constructed the Duomo in Florence was an absolute genius. The ingenuity required to construct this huge dome will boggle your mind. His name was Brunelleschi. He deserves to be as well known as Leonardo or Michaelangelo. Look him up.
You are traveling and your want the place to be like your hometown??? Stay in your hometown!!! Yes, Italian food is not american Chinese food!! Italians do not do do siesta, you might be confused with rural Spain and confuse the Italian that you not speak with Spanish that do no speak either. Some Italian stores do close for lunch and can be annoying, but museums and sights do not. Please do not post videos and stay home.
Nicely done and informative!…Thank You!!
Worst VLOG I have watched. Ever.
Uau , I really think that all Tuscany people should change their ways over your complaining . So important
Thank you so much Maria! I found this very helpful. Ignore all the mean comments. You make very valid points, especially for a first time visitor to the area. Have fun traveling with your family!
I disagree about English language. Italian people can talk in English properly and to me, they seemed like to do this.
I'm Brazilian and I disliked the Italian's behavior with me and my husband, specially in Florence. Somehow they knew that weren't european when we didn"t a single word and behavior politely. I am a professor and ny husband is a businessman. We are both very interested in art and culture, we travel a lot. Just to relate two situations. The man at the ticket window, in Santa Maria Novella Station shouted out me! Second example of rudeness: we decided to buy a cell phone there and entered a cell shop. We were so ignored by almost half a hour that went away without byuing anything. The clerks there simply didn't see us, it was like we weren't there!!!! There were so many situations like that , these are only two examples. I can talk in Italian and did it, of course we are gentle people but sometimes we felt humiliated. We were there for 22 days! In small towns like San Gimigniano, people seem to be nicer. We wanted to be American, there, because we could watch better behavior of the local people with them…This problem the girl, in video, woudn't relate because she is from USA!
Thanks for this straightforward and honest video. I appreciate hearing these pros and cons from your perspective! This information is for people who have not been to Italy before and want to know what to expect. It's helpful!
This is the worst to do /not to do list i've ever seen.
5 things to do: go to the 5 major cities.
not to do: just complaining about normal local habits and traffic.
The complaint about the food is THE DUMBEST THING I've ever heard in my life.
And finally a complaint that people speak Italian. Utterly stupid.
Your English is excellent. Your presentation is very nice and useful. I don't know why a bunch of jerks have to be nasty. If they are lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, why should they be such sourpusses. Keep it up! Share the good!
Who the hell do you think you are? Keep it to YOUR culture then, whatver narrow-minded thing that might be.
Woman, are you serious?
Thanks for a nice video and your point of view is refreshing and helpful.
I liked your video and suggestions. We're headed to Italy soon and I'm really excited to see how different it is the second time around. Ignore all of the haters out there. I've always heard "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
You would love visiting and maybe moving to the states Maybe Kentucky. Do us a favor donβt give travel advice.
You are not a traveller, you are just a tourist. You should not give advice to people because you probably need something like Disneyland or a highly planned trip in some Valtur village to feel satisfied. Travelling means even enjoy different approaches to life. You would get bored even in Las Vegas if not planned to the bone. Many of the worst things you said can be said for all Europe then again. For the trafic i want to inform you that Tuscany alone has more people than whole Denmark and almost like Sweden so it's normal there is trafic in the bigger towns. The food part is just ridicolous. If you are accustomed to mix, a Big Mac Menu it's what you need probably. Leave real food(Italian food is copied worldwide, just saying) to travellers.
